    Care Instructions for Hand-Embroidered Sarees

Our sarees feature delicate hand embroidery techniques such as dabka, zardosi, and ari work, crafted with precision and care. To maintain their beauty and longevity, please follow these care guidelines:

        General Care

  • Dry clean only to preserve fabric and embroidery.

  • Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.

  • Wrap the saree in a muslin cloth to allow the fabric to breathe.

  • Avoid spraying perfume or deodorant directly on the embroidered areas.

  • Do not fold along the same crease repeatedly to prevent thread stress.

        Handling & Storage

  • Keep away from moisture to prevent tarnishing of metallic threads (dabka/zardosi).

  • Refold the saree occasionally to maintain fabric strength and avoid permanent creases.

    Ironing Instructions

    • Always iron on the reverse side of the saree.

    • Use a low to medium heat setting.

    • Place a thin cotton cloth over the embroidered area before ironing to protect delicate work like dabka, zardosi, and ari.

    • Do not apply direct heat or steam on embroidery, as it may damage threads and embellishments.

    • For best results, use professional steam ironing services.

    If Threads Loosen or Open

  • Do not pull the thread, as it may damage the embroidery.

  • Gently push the loose thread back inside using a fine needle.

  • If needed, secure it with a small knot on the reverse side.

  • For major repairs, we recommend consulting a professional embroidery artisan.

With proper care, your handcrafted saree will retain its elegance and charm for years to come.
